b * tru.  opened april 2001 on the island of martha's vineyard by dulcie rutherford.  dulcie was living in san francisco and working for gap, inc. before returning to the vineyard to open up her shop.  it was a dream realized to say goodbye to corporate america & own her own clothing store!

since the opening in 2001,  she has established a great following of customers from those who live on the island to people vacationing in the summer.  her customers love the up to date fashion dulcie chooses for her store & can always expect a fun atmosphere.  the clothing, shoes & accessory assortments are always well priced, which gives the b * tru. customer the ability to buy a whole outfit if they choose.

b * tru. celebrates fashion & the art of being feminine!  the store never takes itself too seriously, nor does the staff.  it is a place where you can feel comfortable shopping alone or with the help of it's friendly sales people.

b * tru. is also a place to come visit a dog or two!  Both ashbury, the bernese mountain dog  & jasper, the black lab, have become celebs on  circuit avenue.  and the lastest addition to the staff is dulcie's son joshua who was born in february, 2006.

b * tru. is located in the town of oak bluffs at 40 circuit avenue.  the store is open april through december, but the website is open all year! we hope to see you soon!
